Introduced in 2003, Aboitiz Future Leaders Scholarship Program offered by Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. is now calling interested applicants to apply for this scholarship initiative.
This scholarship program intends to allow promising individuals to pursue quality education providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to contribute positive impact in their communities and beyond.
As per the announcement, the scholarship opening has already started yesterday, May 06, 2024 and shall end on June 30, 2024.
The announcement of shortlisted applicants will be on July 2024 (3rd week) followed by the interview and personality testing which shall be conducted on July 2024 (4th week).
Finally, the announcement of new scholars will be on August 2024 (1st week) where they will be granted a comprehensive package of full tuition fee coverage, monthly allowance, academic excellence incentive, latin honors incentive, board review subsidy, and internship opportunities.
For non-monetary benefits, there will be holistic development to better prepare scholars for life after graduation such as Scholars’ Learning Sessions, Participation in the Group’s CSR Activities, and a possible employment opportunity within the Aboitiz Group.
Now, what does it take to be an Aboitiz scholar? Aboitiz listed down the qualifications for this purposive college scholarship, the applicant must fulfill the following criteria.
The applicants must be full-time incoming freshmen of an eligible college or university, be pursuing a degree identified by the foundation, and have a (GPA/GWA) of at least 88% with no failing and incomplete grade.
Additionally, the applicants must not have a record of any form of disciplinary action, and able to accomplish the online application form and submit the complete requirements on time.
The necessary documentary requirements shall include certified true copy of the applicant’s most recent grade available upon the opening of the application process and certifications supporting extra curricular activities.
Scholars may get to choose among programs covered such as STEM-related courses, Engineering, IT and Technology, and Data Science.
These programs will be available at the Aboitiz's partner schools including Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University, Mapua University, University of the Philippines- Diliman and University of Sto. Tomas.
