This academic year 2024-2025, the flagship educational program of AFPSLAI now referred to as AFPSLAI Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program (SEAP) is on the process of accepting applications.
This initiative comprised of two (2) distinct and separate sub-programs namely the Scholarship Apprentice Program (SAP) and the Educational Grant Program (EGP).
These scholarship programs shall be available to the dependents of AFPSLAI Regular Members or deceased former regular members who show financial need to pursue and complete their tertiary education.
Specifically, the scholarship programs indicated that interested applicants must be legitimate or illegitimate or legally adopted child of married or unmarried sponsor.
AFPSLAI noted that in the absence of children, qualified applicants are legitimate or illegitimate or legally adopted brother or sister of single or unmarried sponsor.
Lastly, participants must be incoming first year, second year, and third year college student.
As for the Scholarship and Apprenticeship Program (SAP), this intends to allow scholars to take business-related baccalaureate courses or academic disciplines which are as follow: Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Social Sciences, Digital, and Data-related courses.
As per the announcement, there will be an additional incentive of ₱3,000 per term for scholars under this scholarship provided that they are able to maintain a GWA higher than 2.0.
However, upon terms and conditions, scholars of this program are expected to return to AFPSLAI after graduation to serve their bond and be employed as an apprentice, rendering no less than six (6) months to eleven (11) months.
Meanwhile, for Educational Grant Program (EGP), this scholarship shall allow applicants to take up non-business related baccalaureate courses.
With this regard, apprenticeship is not required nor is guaranteed after graduation of the grantees under this program.
Under both of these scholarship programs, successfully chosen scholars shall be entitled to a comprehensive package including tuition/ matriculation/ other fees not exceeding ₱30,000 per school term and not exceeding ₱10,000 per summer/midyear, as required in the curriculum.
There will also be book reimbursement not exceeding ₱2,000 per school term, as well as a stipend of ₱4,000 per month.
A board and lodging assistance is also granted not exceeding ₱2,000 per month for those who are enrolled in a state college or university; only when necessary.
And lastly, an ROTC incentive of
2,000 is also provided per month within the term where the ROTC program was enrolled.
