The BPI Foundation, Inc. has once again open an opportunity titled Pagpupugay Scholarship for deserving students who want to pursue their college education for the academic year 2024-2025.
This scholarship program offered by BPI intends to honor the invaluable contributions of all the medical front liners in the Philippines amid the COVID-19 battle.
This scholarship initiative hopes to extend assistance to the families of frontline heroes who are affected by the pandemic.
Applications for the new scholars for the subsequent years are now open for the next kin of the medical frontliners who passed away or who contracted COVID-19 in the line of duty.
Frontliner heroes shall refer to doctors, nurses, medical technologists, community health workers, administrative, utility, and support services personnel working in health care facilities.
BPI clarified that if the deceased is married, priority beneficiaries will be given to the children. Meanwhile, if the deceased is single, beneficiaries can be next of kin up to 3rd degree of consanguinity.
This scholarship shall be applicable for college or university students who have General Weighed Average (GWA) of at least 85% or equivalent, or meets the university standards.
Moreover, the applicants must not be a beneficiary to other academic assistance program.
Qualified scholars will be granted up to P100,000 each year to cover tuition and related expenses, facilitated by BPI's partner institutions.
Eligible students can apply for this scholarship until May 31, 2024 through BPI's partner schools or directly contact them at [email protected] for details.
BPI noted that the selection of scholars shall be based on academic merit and financial need.
For successful candidates, they will be notified through their schools and provided email addresses so make sure that your email address is working perfectly.
