The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has expressed its immense excitement in announcing the call for applications for another scholarship program for the school year 2024-2025.
The scholarship program is entitled Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund- Grants-in-Aid for Higher Education Program which shall be opened from July 1, 2024 to August 15, 2024.
The scholarship program is available to qualified and deserving undergraduate students enrolled or enrolling in CHED recognized higher education institutions with courses mainly focusing on agriculture, forestry, fisheries, veterinary medicine, and related programs.
Additionally, applicants shall be ranked and selected subject to the eligibility requirements which are as follow:
- Filipino citizen;
- graduating senior high/ senior high graduates or with earned college academic units relevant to the identified degree programs;
- will enroll or are currently enrolled in recognized programs of PHIEs or authorized program of SUCs/LUCs in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, veterinary medicine education and related agricultural education programs;
- combined annual gross income of parents or guardian not exceed four hundred thousand pesos (Php 400,000);
- preferably dependents of registered farmers and/or fisherfolks in Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) and other registry systems;
- must not be beneficiaries of any government funded student financial assistance program; and
- must not be convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.
Those who will not make it to the selection will nonetheless receive an SMS, email, or snail mail informing them of the outcome of their application, copy furnished the OSDS, for reference.
Qualified grantees under the scholarship shall be entitled to a financial benefits of P30,000 per semester or up to P60,000 per year for private scholars and Php20,000 per semester and up to Php40,000 per year for public SUCs/LUCs scholars.
