Aside from the 5-day short-term workshop program that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is offering, it is also looking for interested applicants to apply for a short-term course to be conducted in Indonesia.
CHED Scholarship: What is the Short-Term Course All About?
The short-term course is a partnership between CHED and Universitas Bakrie. The short-term course is a 10-day program on “Halal Food Standard Compliance” which shall take place in Indonesia.
CHED Scholarship: Who May Apply for the Short-Term Course?
The short-term course is intended for faculty and staff who are engaged in curriculum development and institutional quality assurance, specifically those with a teaching background in food technology, agriculture, hospitality, tourism, hotel, and restaurant management at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The short-term course is particularly open to the following qualified individuals:
- be a Filipino citizen;
- have an existing regular or plantilla item with an HEI identified in the scope and coverage or participants duly identified and approved by the CEB;
- work duties and/or responsibilities are aligned with the CPDSG programs;
- meet the qualifications of the specific program being applied to;
- secure the endorsement and certification of the sending HEI;
- be physically and mentally fit to undertake the short-term course;
- has completed a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a CHED or MBTHE– recognized HEI; and
- additional eligibility requirement, as needed, may be applied as approved by the Commission en Banc.
CHED Scholarship: What are the Necessary Documentary Requirements?
All applicants are advised to prepare the following documents to start their application process:
- application form;
- signed grant undertaking;
- re-entry action plan endorsed by the SHEI;
- SHEI certification and endorsement;
- terms of reference or job description of work duties and responsibilities or equivalent;
- return service agreement;
- signed and notarized promissory note; and
- other supporting documents.
CHED Scholarship: What are the Benefits?
Scholarship entitlement for scholars shall include the following privileges:
- program and training fees;
- travel, accommodation, and meal expenses;
- training kits;
- stipend/ allowance;
- certificate of completion; and
- immersion and field visits to relevant facilities in Indonesia.
CHED Scholarship: How to File your Application?
All interested applicants should be nominated by their sending Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and shall be able to submit all the abovementioned necessary documentary requirements on or before the set due date.
