Who can apply for the scholarship?
To qualify for this scholarship, one must:
- CNY 400 per person (for programs lasting less than six months)
Eligibility - Be a citizen of an ASEAN member country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), and be in good health both mentally and physically;
- Be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a Master’s program;
- Be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral program;
- Have passed the HSK (Level 4) when applying for a Chinese-taught postgraduate program
- Have acquired IELTS or TOEFL when applying for English taught postgraduate program
- Meet the admission requirements of the university of preference in terms of language proficiency and academic ability, among others, when applying for a program taught in a language other than Chinese.
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
- Tuition fee;
- Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy;
- Stipend:
- Master’s students: CNY 3,000 (Php23,250) per month;
- Doctoral students: CNY 3,500 (Php27,125) per month.
- Comprehensive medical insurance:
- CNY 800 (Php6,200) per person per year;
- CNY 400 (Php3,100) per person (for programs lasting less than six months)
What are the programs offered under the scholarship?
This scholarship supports master’s students for no more than 3 academic years or doctoral students for no more than 4 academic years. It covers major study and Chinese language study.
