For August 2025 semester intake, the DAAD Scholarship shall now be open for all interested applicants from the Philippines who want to study their Master's degree in Germany. The DAAD Scholarship shall be funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
DAAD Scholarship: What are the Eligible Countries?
The DAAD Scholarship is open for nationals from the following countries:
- Philippines;
- Thailand;
- Cambodia;
- Indonesia;
- Lao;
- Myanmar;
- Malaysia;
- East Timor; and
- Vietnam.
DAAD Scholarship: What are the Studies Available?
Interested applicants may choose to study between the available program studies below:
DAAD Scholarship: Who may Apply for the Program?
Specifically, the DAAD Scholarship shall be open for the following individuals who must:
- be nationals of one of the above mentioned countries;
- have successfully completed a three or four-year bachelor’s degree with above-average academic performance (upper third of class) not more than 6 years ago at the time of application;
- clearly show motivation and strong commitment;
- have a thorough command of written English (IELTS or AIT-EET 6.0 or above); and
- must fulfill AIT online admission requirements.
DAAD Scholarship: What are the Benefits?
Chosen and qualified scholars for DAAD Scholarship will be able to receive the following comprehensive package:
- tuition fees (twice a year);
- study and research allowance per year (460 EUR: Php28,520);
- printing allowance once at the end (400 EUR: Php24,800);
- bursary- accommodation, food, etc. monthly (500 EUR: Php31,000);
- travel allowance- non-Thai- twice beginning/end of scholarship; and
- insurance.
DAAD Scholarship: What are the Necessary Documentary Requirements?
All shortlisted applicants for DAAD Scholarship will be notified and shall be asked to prepare the following documents:
- DAAD application form duly filled in (to be provided to short-listed applicants);
- hand-signed curriculum vitae (please use the European specimen form, including a list of publications (if applicable).
- one recommendation letter by a university teacher;
- letter of admission from AIT;
- certified copies of university degree certificates including transcripts;
- letter of motivation (if applicable: mentioning the planned research stay in Germany); and
- copy of the passport
