Ensuring the adequate numbers of Science and Technology human resources, the Department of Science and Technology- Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is pleased to inform all interested Filipino youths that the application for S&T Undergraduate Scholarship Program is now up for grabs for aspiring DOST scholars for the academic year 2025-2026.
Who are Qualified to Apply for DOST-SEI Scholarship Program?
As part of selecting only the best and deserving scholars, all interested applicants must be able to satisfy the qualification requirements set for DOST-SEI Scholarship Program which include:
- graduating grade 12 male and female students in SY 2024-2025: a. STEM Strand: all students belonging to the STEM class b. Non-STEM Strand: must be in the top 5% of the graduating class;
- graduate of grade 12 before SY 2024-2025 and did not enroll in college yet: a. STEM Strand: all students belonging to the STEM class b. Non-STEM Strand: must be in the top 5% of the graduating class;
- graduate of high school before the K-12 program;
- must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class;
- must be natural-born Filipino citizen;
- must be of good moral character and in good health;
- may have applied to the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not qualify; or may have qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award; or have not applied to any DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Program; and
- must not have earned any post-secondary (college or vocational) units.

What are the Benefits under the DOST-SEI Scholarship Program?
DOST-SEI Scholarship Program is one of the most meritorious scholarship program being offered in the Philippines, hence, the following is the list of benefits and privileges it provides to accepted scholars:
- regular academic year tuition and other school fees (Php40,000 per AY);
- learning materials and/or connectivity allowance (Php10,000 per AY);
- transportation allowance (actual);
- clothing allowance (Php1,000- first sem of first year only);
- monthly living allowance (Php8,000 per month);
- group health and accident insurance (premium);
- thesis allowance (Php10,000);
- graduation allowance (Php1,000);
Summer/Mid Year
- tuition and other school fees (Php10,000 per AY);
- learning materials and/or connectivity allowance (Php2,000 per AY);
- monthly living allowance (Php8,000 per month); and
- group health and accident insurance (premium).

What are the Necessary Documentary Requirements for the DOST-SEI Scholarship Program?
Becoming a scholar of DOST-SEI Scholarship Program requires applicants to submit the following documents:
- form C- certificate of good moral character;
- form D- certificate of good health;
- form E- principal's certification;
- form F- certificate of residency;
- form G: parent's certification- applicant has no pending immigration application to another country;
- form H- DOST-SEI scholarship examination/award;
- form I- applicant's certification of no post-secondary units;
- form J- signed declaration of applicant and the parent/legal guardian recent picture, passport size birth certificate; and
- parent/s or legal guardian's or spouse's 2022 income tax return/ BIR form 1701/ employment contract for OFW/ BIR certificate of exemption from filing of ITR/ certificate of indigency/ certificate of employment with compensation/ proof of pension.

Important Dates to Remember for DOST-SEI Scholarship Program
- Start of Online Application Period: October 13, 2024
- Last Day of Request for School Inclusion in the E-Application System: November 15, 2024
- Last Day of Online Application Registration: November 22, 2024
- Schedule of Qualifying Examination: April 5-6, 2025
