Recent report from ABS-CBN news stated that under the Triple Win program, POEA will need to hire 600 nurses to Germany this 2022.
According to a private German employer who owns 25 nursing home, Germany will require more nurses due to the increasing population of elderly who need care in their country.
“Until 2030, we’re looking at the like of a hundred-thousand nurses per year. It depends on the statistics you’re looking at, but in general the need is tremendous,” Mathias Hallerbach of C&C Germany said.

As per ABS-CBN news’ report, the main requirement for the program is German language proficiency that is why it will take more or less than a year to process the application.
Successful candidates will have a starting monthly salary of €2,300 or PHP 135,700, and an increase to € 2,800 or Php 165,200 after recognition as a qualified nurse. Further, they will also have an opportunity to get a permanent residency in Germany.
However, because of the deployment cap of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), only 7,000 health care workers will be allowed to leave the country this 2022.

“That is one area that we can be flexible because of the big requirements of medical workers in different countries,” Secretary Abdullah Mamao, secretary of newly established Department of Migrant Workers mentioned, who has a son working in Canada as a nurse.
According to Mamao, more opportunities will be open for Filipinos in Europe, Canada and Turkey.
