For the 19th year, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) invites interested artists to join one of the largest and longest-running art competitions in the Philippines: the 19th GSIS National Art Competition 2024.
According to the announcement, participants may choose to apply among three (3) categories available including representational; nonrepresentational (abstract); and sculpture category.
The competition shall allocate P50,000– P500,000 cash prizes for winning entries. But finalists will not go home without consolation as they will take home a cash prize of P7,500.
The theme of the representational category competition will revolve around "Bagong Pilipinas", whereas GSIS National Competition 2024 shall focus on the development plan of the current administration.
Additionally, it aims to foster a nurturing environment for Filipino artists, calling on them to continuously create, innovate and excel in their fields.
Interested artists who wish to partake in this incredible event must be aged 18 and above. They should also submit one original artwork in one category only.
GSIS reiterated that all interested participants must comply to the mechanics and regulations posted on the GSIS website.
All submission of entries shall be accepted until July 6, 2024, Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the GSIS Gymnasium, GSIS Head Office, Pasay City.
Those artists who are residing outside Metro Manila are allowed to submit their entries via courier from 4-6 July 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
