The long wait is over for another scholarship opportunity offered by Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech) as it is now accepting applications for Hino Motors Ltd. scholarship program.
The Hino scholarship program is a collaborative effort with TMP Tech to train and develop automotive technicians, which includes study on Japanese Language for employment with Hino Dealership in Japan.
The Hino scholarship program is a 1-year specialized Toyota Automotive training program where the course contents will revolve in the following:
- Automotive Servicing NC I (Vehicle Periodic Maintenance);
- Automotive Servicing NC II (Engine, Chassis, & Electrical Repair); and
- Japanese Language N5 and partial N4
For the school year 2024-2025, the Hino scholarship program will accommodate a total of 30 scholars where they will have the opportunity to receive the comprehensive package below:
- tuition and miscellaneous fees;
- TESDA national assessment fees for first take, retake shall be on own account.;
- dormitory accommodation; and
- monthly stipend (amount as decided by the sponsor).
Hence, making sure that they will choose the best scholars for Hino scholarship program, they have outlined several eligibility criteria that must be met by prospective applicants which are:
- preferably 17 to 24 years old;
- at least senior high school (SHS) grade 12 graduate;
- single;
- annual combined gross family income of no more than Php250,000;
- SHS grade 12 average rating of at least 80%, no failing grade in any subjects, and a good attendance record;
- score of 70% or higher in admission examination; and
- passed medical examinations.
As for the necessary documentary requirements that must be prepared by the applicants, they include a list of them which are also bulleted below:
- recent 2x2 photo in white background, no eyeglasses or color contact lenses;
- original certificate of good moral character issued by the school last attended;
- birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or from country of origin for foreigners;
- original and valid NBI clearance;
- original form 138, senior high school grade 12 report card with signature of school principal and adviser.
- letter of intent;
- proof of family income and status; and
- proof of electricity and water billings (past 3 months).
As of the announcement, applicants are now accepted for the Hino scholarship program until September 4, 2024.
