Iskolar ni Juan is offered by Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) to senior high school graduates and college undergraduates who want to pursue industrial machine operation.
Iskolar ni Juan will provide scholars a fully subsidized scholarship covering tuition, transportation, school supplies, uniforms, accommodation, and meals for underprivileged senior high school graduates and college undergraduates aged 18 to 28 years old.
Additionally, Iskolar ni Juan grantees will have the chance to stay at the GBF Technical Training Center in Calamba City, Laguna within seven-month academic term, consecutively with a five-month on-the-job training at URC plants and other business affiliates.
In return, Iskolar ni Juan will give scholars TESDA National Certificate Level II (NC II) on either mechatronics servicing or instrumentation and control servicing, allowing them to fit for employment as a production/machine operator or machine maintenance technician at URC.
Beforehand, interested applicants must be able to possess the qualifications being asked by Iskolar ni Juan which are listed below:
- Filipino Citizen;
- single, 18-28 years old;
- at least a senior high school graduate;
- no grade lower than 80% in Mathematics and Science; and
- from a family with an annual income of not more than Php200,000.
