Hence, the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation invites senior high school graduates to apply to Batch 20 of the GBF Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc Scholarship, an education-to-employment opportunity scheme encompasses the following:
- Industry-standard training at the GBF Technical Training Center in Calamba & work immersion at Universal Robina Corporation;
- NCII certification (TESDA-registered course)
- Job opportunity in URC (manufacturer of Jack 'n Jill, C2, Great Taste)
Who can apply for the scholarship?
Ensuring that aspiring individuals have the information they need to embark on a journey of education and empowerment. Here are the qualifications that must be met. One must:
- be a Filipino Citizen;
- be single, 18-28 years old;
- be a senior High School graduate or college undergraduate;
- have no grade lower than 80% in Mathematics and Science;
- be from a family with an annual income of not more than Php200,000
- be willing to study in Calamba, Laguna and relocate to work at URC factories in Tarlac, Pampanga, Pasig, Cavite, Laguna, Cebu, or Misamis Oriental.
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
A Iskolar ni Juan receives allowances including daily meal and OJT, and enjoys free tuition, dorm stay, school supplies, fare, uniform, possible employment in URC, and NCII assessment fees.
