Do you want to have a better understanding of Japan and its culture? Japan Foundation, Manila is currently funding a cultural event titled JFM Arts & Culture Grant (JFMAC) for interested Filipino applicants.
This grant supports projects that center on Japanese Studies, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Moreover, through Global Partnerships, this grant hopes to pave way for collaboration between countries with similar interests and providing platform for discussions on different topics such as sustainable development, climate change, peace-building, maritime and economic cooperation, among others.
Grant coverage shall include honorarium or artist fee, production of proceedings and reports, costs of hosting a conference such as rental of venue and equipment, interpreter, etc., publicity or public relations expenses, publications, purchase of teaching or learning materials, and other costs agreed by JFM.
Application process shall be strictly followed when it comes to applying for the grant.
First, interested applicants must read and understand the guidelines for the grant which shall include eligibility and duties, project type, grant coverage, deadline, application procedure, obligations, disclosure of information, and handling of personal information.
Second, applicants should download and complete the application form accompanied by detailed project proposal including a report of past similar project, if any, information on the applicant’s organization, profile or biography of a Japanese guest/collaborator (artist, researcher, collaborating institution, etc.), proof of communication or an agreement with the Japanese guest/collaborator (in the form of letter, email or contract), and quotations as per request in the budget proposal.
Third, after completion of the required documentary requirements, applicants must be able to submit them before the deadline date via e-mail: [email protected]. JFM noted that incomplete documents will not be endorsed for screening.
Lastly, complete applications will be screened by the JFM Screening Board. Applicants will received the result via email. Concerns and inquiries on the screening procedure and decision will not be entertained.
