Kyocera, also known as Kyoceraa Corporation, a Japanese multinational ceramics and electronics manufacturer headquartered in Kyoto, Japan is calling aspiring college applicants to apply for its scholarship program named Kyocera Scholarship Program for the school year 2024-2025.
Kyocera was first established as Kyoto Ceramic Company, Limited in 1959 by Kazuo Inamori before its name has been modified to Kyocera in 1982.
Currently, they are offering the Kyocera Scholarship Program where scholars will have the opportunity to study through their partner universities:
- University of San Carlos
- University of San Jose - Recoletos the
- Cebu Institute of Technology University
- University of St. La Salle - Bacolod.
Grantees of Kyocera Scholarship Program will be provided with a scholarship benefits which include tuition fee payment, monthly allowance, book allowance, emergency health care coverage, mentorship with Kyocera professionals, internship opportunity, career opportunity upon graduation, and cash incentive for those who will graduate with honors.
However, prospective scholars for Kyocera Scholarship Program will be limited to choose their courses among BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, and BS Computer Engineering.
Moreover, interested applicants for Kyocera Scholarship Program should be least 18 years old, natural-born Filipino citizen, and with annual total household income of PHP 374,640 and below.
Applicants for Kyocera Scholarship Program must also not be recipients of any other scholarship grant, be senior high graduating class from any high school with general weighted average grade of at least 85%.
For alternative, applicants must completed first/second/third year in college in any of their priority courses with an equivalent average grade of 85% from last semester (2.5 or 4.5 if from CIT-U) scholarship department of their partner universities.
Necessary documentary requirements shall be prepared by interested applicants such as scholarship application form, recommendation letter from senior high school (for senior high graduates), and parents' income tax return (ITR) or any proof of income. They must also accomplish a scholarship essay, and certificates (medical, NBI, birth).
