To have a glimpse of what is Moirasia Foundation, Inc., it is the social arm of Ramon F. Garcia and company. It recently announced that they are offering a scholarship program to students who are in need of support in pursuing further education.
The Moirasia Foundation Inc scholarship program is also called the Moirasia Youth Excellence Scholarship (MYES) program.
Moirasia stataed that if you want to take a step towards success, then they have listed things that you need to accomplish as well as the eligibility requirements mentioned below.
- endorsement letter from the college of dean/department chairperson;
- PSA certificate of live birth (original and photocopy);
- barangay certificate of indigency (with a purpose of scholarship application under Moirasia Foundation);
- certified true copy of grades from the previous academic/school year (original copy);
- certificate of good moral character and no current scholarship grants from other foundations and/or private organizations to be issued by Office of Student Affairs (original copy);
- social case study report to be issued by city social welfare and development office of each city or municipality (original copy);
- autobiography or talambuhay (printed or handwritten);
- recommendation and character reference letter from lecturer, mentor and pastor;
- photocopy of valid school ID (back to back) with 3 signature;
- photocopy of DSWD 4Ps ID (if applicable);
- printed copy of house picture (inside and outside);
- latest utility bills (photocopy and original);
- sketch of home address; and
- 3pcs 2x2 ID picture with nametag.
In order to be considered in the Moirasia Foundation Inc scholarship program, all interested applicants must be able to meet the eligibility criteria set out by the foundation;
- be an enrolled student to a Higher Education Institution (HEI) for the present academic year in Metro Manila, Baguio, Palawan and Cebu City;
- for incoming freshmen, have an accumulative General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 90% in their entire senior high school. For incoming 2nd, year students, have an accumulative General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 2.25 or better;
- have no failing grade in any subject;
- successfully undergo the selection process specifically for this purpose;
- be a Filipino Citizen;
- be an active member of the church, community, and the school organization;
- with a household income of not more than PHP 300,000 annually (25,000/monthly);
- be physically and mentally healthy as certified by a Moirasia Foundation pre-qualified physician;
- not be a recipient of any other scholarship; and
- of good moral and academic character as evidenced by recommendation letters from his/her college adviser/dean or SHS teacher/principal (as applicable) and a community leader/barangay leader not related to him/her.
