Types of OWWA Scholarship Programs
1. Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
The first scholarship program offered by OWWA is the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP), this is a scholarship grant given to qualified dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with a maximum of Php60,000 per school year until the completion of a baccalaureate course (4-5 years).
As for incoming freshmen, scholars will be selected and determined through the DOST national examinations. The top 1,000 qualifiers are considered for entry as freshmen, there will be slots for 2nd to 5th year college level who are enrolled in any Philippine-based college or university.

Who may Apply for EDSP?
Applicants for Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) are qualified for the program provided that they meet the following qualifications below:
- child of an active OWWA member; or sibling of a single or married but childless active OWWA member;
- no availment of any OWWA scholarship program by other members of the OFW family;
Incoming 1st Year College
- single;
- not more than 21 years old;
- grade 12 graduating student; and
- GWA of 80% or its equivalent.
2nd to 5th Year College
- single;
- not more than 30 years old;
- with GWA of atleast 85% or its equivalent;
- must have no failing grades; and
- must be enrolled in a Philippine-based college/university.

What are the Necessary Documentary Requirements for EDSP?
Applicants must be able to submit the following basic requirements for their application online:
- proof identity; OFW- valid passport copy of OFW passport bio or information page; dependent- school I.D. or any available valid I.D. any of the following: birth certificate or baptismal;
- proof of grades from the previous school year (i.e. form 137 or form 10 [TOR], form 138 or report card, or certificate of grades from the school); and
- 2x2 I.D. picture of the OFW's dependent (child or sibling Applicant) with white background, with name tag and signature of applicant.
2. Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
The second scholarship program offered by OWWA is the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP), this scholarship program is provided to deserving migrant workers and/or their immediate descendants who want to pursue courses in the priority fields in Science and Technology.
Upon being selected as scholars, they will receive a financial assistance o maximum of Php60,000 per school year until the completion of 4-5 years baccalaureate course in any college/universities within the Philippines.

Who may Apply for CMWSP?
Those who want to apply for Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) must be able to satisfy the following qualifications:
- deserving migrant workers (active OFWs) who are not more than 45 years old;
- children of active or inactive OFWs who are below 21 years old;
- GWA of 80% without failing grades or within 20% of graduating class for children of OFW and no failing grades if OFW;
- annual family gross income of $2,400 or P76,000;
- the Alternative Learning System passers under the Continuing Education Program– Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) with an average of at least 85% or its equivalent as certified the DepEd Accredited Schools; and
- no availment of any OWWA scholarship program by other members of the OFW family.
