Tasked primarily in ensuring life and property at sea, protecting marine resources and the environment, and assisting in the enforcement of maritime laws within the Philippines jurisdiction, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has officially opened the recruitment for Commissionship and Enlistment for calendar year 2024.
According to the announcement of PCG, the online application or registration has started at 8:00 am today, May 15, 2024 and shall be closed on May 30, 2024 at 8:00 am.
Though, it recently stated that due to the high volume of applicants, the registration or application website may experiences some delay.
As such, for the mean time, aspiring applicants are advised to personally visit the nearest Human Resource Management Unit (HRMU) in their respective area to submit their applications together with the listed original copies of the indicated documents.
Worry not, because as soon as the PCG resolves the technical difficulties, you can always access the Recruitment Online Application Platform (ROAP) via (cg-hrmc.com) or scan their QR code to get started.
Hence, to make sure you have a smooth application process, PCG breaks-down the step-by-step guide for you to carefully follow to avoid any complications.
PCG encouraged applicants to use a laptop or desktop (PC) while applying as the application portal works perfectly on these devices.
Further, it advised applicants to ensure all documents are scanned and ready for upload in order to shorten the process and save time.
Well, before anything else, make sure you are qualified for the recruitment. PCG only recruits those who satisfy the General Line Officers (GLO) qualifications under Commissionship.
One must be a natural-born Filipino citizen, with good moral character, single, and at least twenty-one (21) but not more than twenty-eight (28) years of age at the date of appointment in the PCG.
Height must be at least 5'2" (157.48 cm) for male and 5'0" (152.4 cm) for female and must also be physically and mentally fit.
He or she must possess a baccalaureate degree holder, with Professional Civil Service Eligibility of at least 80% rating or PRC License, MARINA License for Deck and Engineering Officers, Pilot License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of thePhilippine (CAAP), or any equivalent.
Meanwhile, for Technical Line Officers (TLO), also under Commissionship, applicants must be natural-born Filipino citizen, with good moral character, and single or married- for lawyers, medical doctors, psychiatrists, dentists, chaplain.
Additionally, they must be at least twenty-six (26) but not more than thirty-six (36) years of age at the date of appointment in PCG Service.
However, nurses, psychologists, psychometrician, physical therapist or other technical profession of the same level must be single.
Thus, age must be at least twenty-one (21) but not more than twenty-eight (28) years of age at the date of appointment in PCG Service.
In terms of height, they must be at least 5'0" (152.4 cm) for both male or female, be physically and mentally fit, and bar passer for Lawyers Board Passer in their respective fields of profession.
Lastly, for Enlistment, applicants are required to be natural-born Filipino citizen, with good moral character, single, at least eighteen (18) but not more than thirty-six (28) years of age at the date of appointment in PCG Service.
Height must be at least 5'2" (157.48 cm) for male and 5'0" (152.4 cm) for female and must also be physically and mentally fit.
He or she must also be a graduate of K-12 degree program or earned at least seventy-two (72) units in college in only one (1) course as reflected in the Transcript of Record (TOR), or a baccalaureate degree holder.
Finally, the applicants must possess Sub Professional Civil Service Eligibility or higher, or TESDA National Certificate (NCII) as identified priority skills and competency as required.
