Apply your children with Philippine Science High School (PSHS) scholarship program

For the school year 2024-2025, the National Competitive Examination (NCE) is now open for qualified incoming grade 7 students.

The NCE shall be the main measure of assessing the scientific ability, quantitative ability, abstract reasoning, and verbal aptitude of aspiring scholars.

Those who are qualified to take the NCE are current grade 6 elementary pupil for the school year 2024-2025 from a duly recognized school by the Department of Education (DepEd).

Hence, they must be able to possess the specific eligibility criteria upon the condition of PSHS which are bulleted below:

• with final grade of 85% or better in Science and Mathematics, evidenced by the student’s report card; students whose grades are below 85% in Science or Math must provide evidence that he/she belongs to the upper 10% of the batch;
• Filipino citizen without pending or approved application as immigrant to any foreign country;
• not be more than 15 years-old by June 30, 2024;
• with satisfactory rating or its equivalent in his/her Character Rating in his/her report card on S.Y. 2023-2024;
• not previously applied for admission in PSHS; and
• preferably in good health and fit to undergo a rigorous academic program.

Upon thorough course of scholars, a comprehensive scholarship package awaits them including free tuition fee, free loan of textbooks, monthly stipend, uniform, transportation and living allowances for low income groups, and dormitory accommodation if applicable.

Application may be done online or via walk-in mode as such they are required to prepare the following documentary requirements depending on the method they preferred or have chosen.

FOR WALK-IN APPLICANTS:

• fully accomplished application form;
• recent 1 x 1 ID pictures;
• non-refundable PHP 300 processing fee for private school students;
• free or no processing fee for public school students and students with full scholarship from private schools;
• certified true copy of report card (S.Y. 2023-2024) by the class adviser or principal;
• if final grades in Science or Math are below 85%; must have certification or proof that the child belongs to the upper 10% of the batch; and
• certification from the private school for pupil-applicant on full scholarship.

FOR ONLINE APPLICANTS:

• scanned/digitized copy of most recent 1×1 ID pictures;
• scanned/digitized copy of proof of payment of the PHP 300 processing fee for students admitted on a private school on fifth grade;
• free or no processing fee for public school students and students with full scholarship from private schools;
• scanned/digitized file of the certified true copy of report card (S.Y. 2023-2024) by the class adviser or principal;
• scanned/digitized copy of certification or proof that the child belongs to the upper 10% of the batch if the final grades in Science or Math are below 85%; and
• certification from the private school for pupil-applicant on full scholarship.
