Taiwan and Philippines are more than just geographically close to each other. As part, they created a bilateral relationship in which they both hope to strengthen cooperations in various field.
One of those is providing scholarships, as a matter of fact, the Representative Office of The Republic Of China (Taiwan)- Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines is inviting interested Filipino students to grab the chance to apply for two scholarships being offered by Taiwan.
The program application is still ongoing for the Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarship and Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship.
For applicants of Taiwan Ministry of Education Scholarship, you can enroll among Bachelor, Master's, and PhD study.
The scholarship covers tuition waiver of NTD 40,000 (Php 70,4000) each semester and a monthly stipend of NTD 15,000 (Php 26,400) for Bachelor's and NTD 20,000 (Php 35,200) for Master's and Doctoral.
All applications started from February 1 and will be accepted until April 30, 2024.
As for Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship, it is intended for short-term Mandarin learning that runs betwen three to six months.
Scholars shall received a monthly stipend of NTD 25,000 (Php 44,000) which covers all expenses such as tuition, miscellaneous, and etc.
The application also began last February 1 and will end in April 30, 2024.
Now, for those who don't want to waste this opportunity, you may create an account on the Taiwan Scholarship website and fill out the online application form.
Upon completion of the process, you shall submit the printed copy of the application form, together with the necessary documents to TECO's office located at 41F Tower 1 RCBC Plaza, Ayala Ave, Makati, 1200.
