United Neon Foundation Inc., the socio-civic arm of United Neon Media Group, is still accepting applications for its scholarship program intended for incoming grade 11 students for the school year 2024-2025.
Beforehand, applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria upon the condition of the foundation. One must be an incoming grade 11 student, he or she must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 85 above and no grades below 80.
As per the announcement, the foundation only covers applicants residing and studying within National Capital Region (NCR). They also value moral attributes so applicants must have no recorded offense or bad conduct.
Any gender are allowed, however, all applicants must be single. And good thing is any courses and strands are accepted under the scholarship.
The scholarship program aims to support the education efforts of promising young scholars with several program services that's why scholars will be entitled to the following privileges.
Monthly allowance of Php175 per day multiplied to the number of school days per month, one-on-one counseling sessions with scholars every semester to discuss their personal well being and development, and a mentorship program that connects scholars to working professionals in similar field.
There will also be annual summer camp that trains scholars in "soft skills" not traditionally taught in universities, such as resume writing, interviewing tips, communication skills, values and life planning and internship and job placement assistance, if applicable.
Now that you know whether you are qualified for the scholarship or not you may now prepare for the necessary documentary requirements listed.
Applicants must submit the complete scanned copies or clear photos of the following: photocopy of grade 10 report card (GWA must be 85 above and no grades below 80), school ID, PSA birth certificate, 2x2 photo, any copy of billing under family's name (e.g. electric bill, water bill etc.)
They should also prepare their family's Income Tax return (BIR no.1700), optional, but required if parents are employed. The foundation noted that if ITR is not available, they may submit a proof of income such as payslip.
Additionally, applicants must prepare their certificate of indigency, and medical certificate.
