Aspiring scholars who have been looking for a scholarship to fund their research or thesis conduct shall worry no more, as the Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Agriculture and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARD) is calling interested applicants to apply for a scholarship program titled Graduate Research and Education Assistantship for Technology (GREAT) for the academic year 2024-2025.
This initiative helps qualified graduate students with the successful completion of their degree programs by giving them financial and technical support on their thesis or research conduct.
The GREAT program is available for all Filipinos who are admitted at a PCAARRD-accredited university.
Through this scholarship, scholars shall be able to conduct their thesis or research under the umbrella of an identified DOST-PCAARD funded R&D project.
Scholars of Graduate Research Associates (GRA) Master's and Graduate Research Fellows (GRF) Ph.D shall received tuition and other school fees, monthly allowance, transportation allowance, insurance, thesis/dissertation budget of up to Php 50,000 for GRA and Php 100,000 for GRF.
Scholars for GRA shall enjoy the scholarship privileges for two (2) years and three (3) years for GRF.
When the GRA and GRF scholars successfully completed their study program, he or she will have an opportunity to conduct a proposal-based re-entry research grant of up to P5M by DOST-PCAARRD provided that he or she returns to his or her mother agency.
