What are the duration of the study?
An MS typically requires two years to complete, a Ph.D. program takes four years, and the maximum time frames for earning an M.S., Ph.D., or M.S./Ph.D. program is three, seven, and eight years, respectively.
What are the field of study available?
The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology which is the host university provides students with a wide range of study options in the disciplines of science, technology, and research including:
Electrical engineering and computer science, material science and engineering, mechanical engineering, earth science and environmental engineering, life science, physics and photon science, chemistry and biomedical science, nanobio materials and electronics, integrated technology, and artificial intelligence.
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
Scholars shall received a fully funded tuition of 3,415,000 won (Php 143,000) per semester.
Specifically, tuition fees are fully waived, and there are monthly allowances, research assistantship, health insurance, and flight reimbursement (one-way flight to korea).
Note: However, one-time matriculation fee of 680,000 KRW (Php 28,500) is charged to all newly admitted students to be enrolled.
