The Department of Social Welfare and Development DSWD Educational Assistance for STUDENTS-IN-CRISIS will continue to distribute cash aid on August 27, September 3, 10, 17, and 24. However, according to the DSWD, they will no longer accept WALK-IN applications to avoid any conflicts. Meaning, they will only allow applicants who registered online to the assessment and payout sites.
What is Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS)- Educational Assistance?
AICS-Educational Assistance is a program by the DSWD that aims to help STUDENTS-IN-CRISIS for their school fees, school supplies, projects, allowance and other expenses.

Who are considered as STUDENTS-IN-CRISIS?
According to DSWD Sec. Tulfo’s previous statement, the qualified individuals for the DSWD cash aid include breadwinner, working student, orphan/living with relatives, child of a solo parent, has parents with no source of living, child of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), child of Persons With Disabilities, (PWDs), child of HIV victims, victim of domestic abuse, and victim of natural disasters.
Take note, however, for those who are asking, Tulfo clarified that Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and government scholars are exempted from the DSWD cash aid. And those aforementioned individuals who had received the payout on August 20 should refund the amount.

What are the necessary documentary requirements?
Applicants must bring the following requirements during their respective schedule.
- Certificate of Registration/Enrollment
- Any valid ID (Of student or guardian who will receive the payout)
APPLICATION PROCESS:
All applicants who registered online will be assessed by the DWSD Social Workers based on the online registration form they submitted together with the necessary documentary requirements.
Qualified applicants will receive a text (SMS) confirmation from their respective DSWD Field Office containing the date, place and requirements they must bring with them.

How much will qualified students receive?
Qualified elementary students will receive P1,000; P2,000 for high school students; P3,000 for Senior High School students and vocational/college level students will receive P4,000. Up to three students each family can avail the educational assistance.
