Are you fond of taking pictures? For all the Filipinos in Myanmar as well as Myanmar nationals who have already arrived in the Philippines are invited to participate in the Mobile Photography Contest: Ngiting Pilipinas sa Myanmar. The contest is a project of the Embassy of the Philippines in Myanmar together with Sentro Rizal Yangon.

The selected photos will be featured in various embassy activities this June to celebrate the 125th Philippine Independence with the theme "Freedom. Future. History. History."
The following are the rules of the photography contest according to the embassy:
The photos to be submitted must be taken from a smartphone and show daily cultural life unique to Myanmar such as sights, food, festivals and other occasions.
Each participant may submit only one photo as an entry.
Put a title and description of the photo in English that does not exceed 50 words. The description must share what makes the participant smile in the photo and how it satisfies the yearning for the Philippines through cultural experience and living in Myanmar.
The entry photo must be taken recently and not have won any contest.
The photo must be in JPEG format and have a minimum size of 1MB and a resolution of at least 10MP and can be in landscape or portrait orientation. Only entries sent via electronic mail to: [email protected] will be accepted until June 4, Sunday, 11:59pm Myanmar time.
The following must be attached to the email: 2x2 photo, copy of valid ID, and contact details (home address and mobile number) along with a description of the photo.
All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. A panel of judges will select the winners on June 12, Monday.
The following are the prizes:
First Prize: 250,000 Kyats (Php 6,750)
Second Prize: 150,000 Kyats (Php 4,050)
Third Prize: 100,000 Kyats (Php 2,700)
5 Consolation Prizes: 50,000 Kyats each (Php 1,350)
