Nitori Philippines, a well-designed furniture and home-decor store offering affordable wide range of sofa, bed, dining chair, etc., is currently searching for bright scholars for the academic year 2024-2025, in partnership with one of the pioneer universities in the country: the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
The scholarship has ten (10) slots available for College of Arts and Letters students. Specifically, he or she should be an incoming second year, third year, and fourth year students for academic year 2024-2025.
The scholar shall maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.00 and must not have a grade lower than 2.25 in any major subject and not lower than 2.5 in any minor subject.
Also, he or she must carry the regular load prescribed in the curriculum and must not have a failing grade of 5.0, INC, dropped, or withdrawn final grade.
Further, he or she should not belong to a family whose joint family income is not higher than four hundred thousand pesos (P 400,000.00) each year.
Additionally, he or she must not be a working student, a shiftee, irregular student, or have filed a leave of absence.
He or she must essentially possess a good moral character and not be a recipient of any other scholarship.
The scholar should be willing to sign an agreement to participate in any NITORI Philippines events as well as events in the College of Arts and Letters.
Now that you know whether you are qualified or not, you must now prepare the necessary documentary requirements asked such as copy of grades (screenshot of grades from SIS from 1st Year to current is acceptable); current registration card; parents’ or guardian’s ITR or certificate of indigency from Barangay indicated as permanent address or certificate of non-payment of ITR; personal data sheet or application form; and resume.
Successful scholars will received a stipend of Php35,000 each year. Applications shall be accepted until Monday, April 26, 2024. For more details about the scholarship, you may access PUP's website.
According to the announcement, shortlisted applicants will be notified and scheduled for a face-to-face interview at the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance, situated in W119.
