The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), also known as the University of the City of Manila, is a public university in Manila, Philippines.
It was established on June 19, 1965, through Republic Act No. 4196. PLM is incorporated as a separate entity and operates under the governance of the City of Manila.
PLM's mission is to provide quality and accessible education to deserving students from the City of Manila and other parts of the Philippines.
The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs across various disciplines, including business administration, education, engineering, health sciences, law, liberal arts, and social sciences.
As a public institution, PLM aims to cater primarily to the needs of Manila residents. However, it also accepts students from other cities and provinces based on certain criteria and available slots.

Who can apply for the scholarship?
- The scholarship is open for all PLM students only who are at least in their sophomore (2nd) year.
- And with a GWA of at least 2.5 in the last academic year.
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
PLM scholars shall be entitled to a:
- Fixed annual financial grant; and
- Access to scholarship development programs.

What are the necessary documentary requirements?
As per PLM, interested applicants shall attach the following requirements to the latter's signed application form:
A.Letter to PLMSFI stating the reasons why you are qualified to become a scholar under the PLMSFI scholarship program; (for new applicant only)
B.Copy of grades during the 1st and 2nd semesters of the previous academic year;
C.Proof of enrollment for the current school year;
D.Income tax returns of parents/guardians, if available; (for new applicant only)
E.Barangay Certification affirming the financial incapacity of the family to support the applicant's education; (for new applicant only)
F.Two (2) latest ID photos (passport size); (for new applicant only) and
G.Sketch of residence and photo of the house showing the address (for new applicant only).
How to file your application?
As per PLM, interested applicants, may apply by submitting their filled-up application form and other requirements (scanned copies), thru email to the Head of the Scholarship Committee, Mr. Rolando Cuico [email protected], cc: [email protected]
Applicants who have qualified during the preliminary screening, will be notified by text message or email, on when they will be scheduled for interview by the Scholarship Committee via video conferencing (ZOOM).
