Philippine Military Academy online cadet application is now open

The Philippine Military Academy(PMA), established in 1936, the premier military academy for Filipinos aspiring for a commission as a military officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, is currently accepting applications via online for PMA Entrance Examination intended for class 2029. The opening of the application is in lieu with the commemoration of Labor Day.

According to the announcement, the PMA Cadet Online Application System has started to open from May 1, 2024 (8am) and shall be closed on August 1, 2024 (8am). The PMA has immensely expressed their hope for Filipino youths to apply for this wonderful opportunity to start their journey with them and eventually serve this beloved nation as future leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be able to satisfy the qualifications being asked by PMA which are as follow. One must be a natural-born Filipino citizen; at least 17 years of age and not more than 22 years of age on June 10 of the admission year 2025 (birthdate shall fall between June 1, 2003 to June 1, 2008); at least a Senior High School graduate (grade 12); and have at least a Senior High School GPA/GWA of 85%.

When it comes to the height, the applicants must have barefoot height of not less than 5'0" (152.4cm) but not more than 6'4" (193.04cm) for both male and female.

The applicants must also be single and never been married, never borne or sired a child; be of good moral character; have no administrative or criminal case; and pass the PMA Entrance Examination.

To ensure swift training and such, applicants must be physically and mentally fit for military training; pass the complete physical-medical examination by AFP Medical Board Nr 1; pass the physical fitness test and aptitude for the service interview.

For the necessary requirements during online application, applicants are advised to prepare for their computer or smartphone/mobile device with internet access, valid and working email account and copy of PSA birth certificate and Form 137/138 or Transcript of Record in image JPEG or PDF format.

PMA noted that all pages of the document must be saved in one (1) document file format. Further, copies of PSA birth certificate and Form 137/138 are mandatory and will be uploaded in the PMA Online Cadet Application System.
