For several years, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has deployed many Filipino workers to different countries such as Saudi Arabia, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan under the government to government program arrangement.
Recently, the DMW has announced on their Facebook page that I-MEI Food Corporation, LTD is urgently looking for qualified Filipino applicants to apply for its special hiring program for Taiwan.
According to the announcement, Taiwan is currently searching for twenty (20) male or female factory workers who will be assigned to bakery, dairy products and beverage, confectionery, prepared food, biotechnology, and macrobiotic products sections.
Hired applicants will be able to take home a gross monthly salary of NT$ 27,470 (Php 49,489.38) with an additonal full attendance of 800 NT$ (Php1,440). Note that the exchange rate of 1 TWD is equivalent to Php 1.80.
DMW ensures that only those who possess the qualifications required will be hired so all interested applicants must be physically and medically fit to work and with good eyesight with no color blindness or no tattoo.
They must also have good communication skills both in oral and written English and they must be willing to work overtime or with shifts, must be hard working and can comply with environment cleaning assignment.
As for the educational attainment, one must be at least a high school graduate with at least one (1) year working experience related to food factory, restaurant, bakery, or machinery field.
As per the announcement, the schedule of virtual interview is yet to be announced but the target date of deployment will be on August 1, 2024 until June 2025.
The deadline of submission of applications of both applicants from the POEA regional office and
applicants from the central office (POEA- Ortigas) shall be on June 7, 2024.
