Tzu Chi is the world’s largest Buddhist humanitarian organization. It was established in Taiwan by Buddhist nun Dharma Master Cheng Yen.
Currently, Tzu Chi comprised of 10 million volunteers who work in over 60 countries. The organization aims to provide relief operations extended to over 120 countries.
As such, the Tzu Chi Philippines, a humanitarian, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), with a mission to provide disaster, and poverty relief extended the application of its scholarship program.
The Technical-Vocational scholarship program for batch 9 is intended for those who want to take a caregiving course. The extended scholarship application shall run from May 29 to June 1, 2024.
Those who will take this wonderful opportunity will have the chance to become a certified caregiver in three (3) months.
Plus, scholars will have the chance to receive a comprehensive package which include free tuition, free meals, free TESDA assessment, and transportation allowance.
Beforehand, an interested applicant must be able to satisfy the eligibility criteria being asked by Tzu Chi Philippines such as being a resident of Metro Manila, be aged 20-35 years old, be a high school or ALS graduate, be a PhilHealth Member, be physically fit, and be an indigent or financially challenged.
To avoid any conflicts in schedule, one must also be unemployed and not studying or enrolled in any courses.
