The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is one of the departments that matter when an individual is being tested to be fit to work for the government. The Civil Service Examinations for Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) is one of the sought assessments that people look forward to because it is their key pass whether or not they are eligible or qualified to work for the government.
As I am sure all of us are aware, there are two (2) types of Civil Service examinations; one is the Civil Service Examination for Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) and the Civil Service Commission Computerized Examination (CSC-COMEX). For the Pen and Paper Test, there are scheduled and due testing centers.

How can I file an application for the upcoming CSE-PPT?
To be able to file an application, you have to do the following:
- You first need to identify where your preferred testing center is; and
- You have to submit the application at the CSC-Regional Office (CSC-RO) who has the jurisdiction over the preferred testing center you need to take it in. You can also file it at any of the CSC-RO's field offices but it's better if you directly submit it to the appropriate CSC office.
NOTE: So in this context, you really have to know where your testing center is. Once you find out about it, you can proceed in completing all of their requirements for you to be able to proceed with the test.

How would I know where the regional office is in a particular region?
As per COMELEC, people should follow the jurisdiction of the CSC-RO. For instance, if a certain applicant is wanting to take the examination in Manila, that applicant must submit his or her application at the CSC Regional Office in NCR because Manila is a part of the National Capital Region (NCR). Alternatively, he or she can submit it at any CSC Regional Offices within NCR.

When is the application period?
The application period runs from the 6th of May until the 5th of June 2019. It cannot be appointed online so the acceptance and submissions of the application will be on a first come, first served basis.
More so, the application will be closed any time before the deadline and will be dependent whether or not the Civil Service Commission Regional Office already reached the quota or the number of targeted applicants for the CSE-PPT.
