The fast-rising cases of the infamous COVID-19 placed tens of thousands of OFWs floating. There are some waiting for the announcement of their employer; some yearning to go home to their loved ones; while some that have no choice but to leave.
Good news, though, because as per the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and our country's Vice President, Leni Robredo, about 4,000 available jobs are ready for repatriated OFWs.
In her announcement, Robredo said that they're launching an online jobseeker platform called Bayanihanapbuhay.

What is the Bayanihanapbuhay?
The Bayanihanapbuhay is the initiative of the OVP to provide career opportunities to OFWs. The jobs would be from several kinds and types of businesses from the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Some of the companies that would participate in the program include:
- Concentrix
- D.M. Consunji, Inc
- Lot's a Pizza
- EMS Service Philippines, Inc (ESPI)
- AECOM Philippines
- Solarwinds Software Asia PTE Ltd
- Omni Petroleum
- GET Philippines
- Empire East Land Holdings
- McBride Corp
Since these are the businesses that gained benefit from the Angat Buhay program; they are to give some workers the opportunity back.

A week ago, Robredo said that hopefully, they'll be able to launch it. In addition to that, she said that they're looking forward to acquire more and newer partners to provide more jobs to those who are in need.
Hopefully before the end of this week, ma-launch namin. And, in the coming days, marami pa tayong maging partners para tuluy-tuloy pa ang availability ng trabaho."

Different Skills Training Program
The 4,000 available jobs, as per the Vice President, shall have separate skills, akin to what she's envisioning. This would allow Filipinos to take courses, programs, and certifications under the third (3rd) phase or leg of the Bayanihan.

Robredo said that she's hoping for the betterment of the situations of OFWs through the platform.
We hope that, through this platform, they would have an easier time finding work opportunities."
To be exact, the number of vacancies since the release of the announcement was at 3,944. It's nearing 4,000 and for sure, they were able to get more out for the job vacancies.
