The Graduate Study Program at SEARCA was established in the academic year 1968/1969. Over the past 50 years, the Graduate Study Program's focus has widened to encompass institutional growth, networking, and services that will improve graduate education in the area.
SEARCA has maintained relationships with global education networks over time and continues to encourage new connections with businesses and governmental organizations.
Hence, SEARCA is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the SEARCA Graduate Scholarship Program for the Academic Year 2024-2025.
The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is a leading institution in promoting agricultural and rural development in Southeast Asia.
The SEARCA Graduate Scholarship Program aims to develop highly skilled professionals in the field of agriculture and related disciplines.

Who can apply for the scholarship?
The scholarship is available for nationals of SEAMEO member countries (namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam) who wish to pursue their graduate studies in the field of Agriculture and related sciences in the following study posts:
- Kasetsart University
- Universiti Putra Malaysia
- University of the Philippines Los Baños
- Sejong University
- Tokyo University of Agriculture
- National Taiwan University
- Institut Pertanian Bogor
- Universitas Brawijaya
- Universitas Gadjah Mada
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
Scholarship priveleges include, but are not limited to:
- Tuition and other school fees;
- Travel allowance;
- Thesis/dissertation support;
- Book and supplies allowance;
- Health insurance;
- Stipend for food, lodging, and incidental expenses.
