Every year, the Civil Service Examination for Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) is administered in two rounds to gauge the knowledge and skills of future civil servants if they are ready to enter the workforce as government employees. In that sense, for the calendar year 2025, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the schedule for CSE-PPT.
What is the Released Schedule for Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test?
As per the announcement, the first round of Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test for Professional and Subprofessional shall proceed as outlined below:
Date of Examination: March 2, 2025 (Professional and Subprofessional)
Application Period: November 19, 2024- January 3, 2025
Target Release Date of Exam Results: May 10, 2025

Who may Apply for Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test?
In order to file your application for Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test, an applicant must:
- be a Filipino citizen;
- at least 18 years old on the date of filing of application;
- of good moral character;
- has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs;
- has not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and
- has not taken the same level of Career Service Examination, either through PPT or CSC Computerized Examination, within three months before the date of exam.

How to File your Application for Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test?
According to the CSC, the examination announcements shall be released three (3) weeks before the start of each application period.
All of the pertinent detailed information for Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test will contain but not limited to, the following areas:
- testing centers;
- qualification/admission requirements;
- application (documentary) requirements;
- where to get the application form and how to file the application;
- scope of examination;
- passing grade; and
- resulting civil service eligibility.
