Heads up scholarship hunters! Davao City Water District (https://web.davao-water.gov.ph/o) opens 15 slots for the DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and 5 slots for the DCWD Academic Excellence Scholarship for the school year 2023-2024 to eligible students aspiring to obtain a college degree from the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP).

Despite this, the utility managed to stay resilient and focused towards executing its mandate, that is, to continue producing and delivering safe, adequate and affordable water to meet the growing demands of its customers. 1. DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs)- 15 Slots
Who can apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants shall possess the qualifications stated below.
- 15 to 25 years old incoming freshmen or continuing student
- A senior high school graduate with an average grade of at least 80%
- If currently enrolled in college, average grade for the previous semester prior to the application must be at least 80%
- A member of the IP or Indigenous Cultural Communities and Muslims residing in the watershed areas Toril, Tugbok, Baguio, Calinan, and Marilog districts
What are the necessary documentary requirements?
Interested applicants shall prepare the following requirements for submission.
- Certificate signed by the tribal chieftain
- Certificate from the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) or National Commission on Muslim Filipino (NCMF) (whichever is applicable) certifying membership to an IP/tribal group and that the tribal chieftain is registered with NCIP/NCMF
- Readiness Test for Colleges and Universities and with a “High” description in the Quality Index if enrolled in the Engineering Program of the University
- Annual household income not exceeding P120,000
- Barangay clearance
- Compliance to the qualifying requirements of USEP
2. DCWD Academic Excellence Scholarship- 5 slots
Who can apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants shall possess the qualifications below.
- 15 to 21 years old
- A senior high school graduate from a school based in Davao City of the previous school year upon application
- An average grade of at least 85%
- Part of the top 20% of the graduating class
What are the necessary documentary requirements?
Interested applicants shall prepare the following requirements for submission.
- Readiness Test for Colleges and Universities (RTCU) and with a “High” description in the Quality Index
- Annual household income not exceeding P120,000
- Compliance to the qualifying requirements of USEP
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
Both scholarships provide:
- Transportation allowance
- Meal allowance
- Boarding house allowance
- Uniform/textbook allowance
- Education tour allowance
- Incentive for scholars who will qualify as Dean’s Listers
- Thesis allowance (graduating year)
