Mercury Drug Foundation Inc. (MDFI) is a non-profit organization based in the Philippines. It is the corporate social responsibility arm of Mercury Drug Corporation, one of the largest pharmaceutical chains in the country.
The foundation was established in 1987 with the aim of addressing the healthcare needs of underserved communities and promoting the well-being of Filipinos.
MDFI works closely with partner organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to carry out its initiatives.
Through its various programs, the foundation strives to make healthcare accessible and contribute to the overall development of communities in the Philippines.
Now, heads up scholarship hunters! The Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc. is happy to inform all interested applicants to apply for their scholarship program for Gawad Talino.
Graduating senior high school students excelling in Mathematics and Science who want to continue further education and reach their potential are further recognized by this scholarhip program.
The program sees to it that by recognizing these students, it would inspire and motivate them to continue higher education, maximize their potential for jobs in these sectors, and contribute to the development of the country by helping to fill the demand for leaders in these fields.
By providing ways and means that will contribute to lowering the occurrence of diseases, they hope to enhance health and well-being, improve living conditions, and improve quality of life for the underserved sectors of society.
Who can apply for the scholarship?
In order to be considered in the scholarship, an interested applicant must:
- be an incoming first-year student;
- be under 21 years old;
- excel in Mathematics and/or Science;
- be eligible for graduation;
- have good moral character and unquestionable integrity.
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
- Full scholarship grant to qualified awardees;
Medals and certificates of recognition, given during their graduation from senior high school.
Application Deadline: July 15, 2023
How to file your application?
The principal or head of the school, the math and science instructors of the graduating class, the teacher adviser of the senior class organization, and the school guidance counselor make up the award committee that determines the recipient.
