Printed ePhilID: Everything you Need to Know

By Jessa Rivera Leave a Comment Filed Under: Public Info

What is the printed ePhilID?

The printed ePhilID is a digital version of the PhilID which is printed on a piece of paper. It functions and has the same validity as a physical PhilID card and is intended for all transactions. This enables those who have registered to start taking use of PhilSys’ advantages right away, including improved access to additional financial and social protection services. If you want to claim your printed ePhilID, note that it is free of charge just like the PhilID card.

Who can avail the printed ePhilID?

Registered individuals with PhilSys Numbers (PSN) who have not yet received their physical PhilID cards may avail the printed ePhilID.

When claiming their printed ePhilID, minors (those under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Steps in Getting your printed ePhilID

Step 1: Visit ePhilID Appointment System via appt.philsys.gov.ph.

Step 2: Check if you already have a PSN. Your transaction reference number (TRN), which is a 29-digit number on the transaction slip you received after completing Step 2 registration, will need to be entered.

Step 3: Follow the prompts, and supply the needed information.

Step 4: Choose a PhilSys registration center to pick up your printed ePhilID upon your schedule of appointment.

Step 5: You will receive a copy of your appointment slip. On the day of your appointment to pick up your printed ePhilID at the PhilSys registration center, bring this together with 1 valid ID and your transaction number.

Note: Before visiting the PhilSys registration centers, the department strongly advise using the ePhilID appointment system at appt.philsys.gov.ph to confirm that you have been issued a PhilSys Number (PSN) and are qualified to claim the printed ePhilID.
According to health guidelines, registered individuals with appointments will be given priority in order to reduce crowding in PhilSys registration sites.

The public advisory also states that for transactions in all national government agencies, local government units (LGUs), government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), government financial institutions (GFIs), financial institutions, and the private sector, the printed ePhilID shall be honored and accepted as the official government-issued identification document of a person.

Below are issuances supporting the use and acceptance of the printed ePhilID:

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
Philippine Statistics Authority– Civil Registration Service (PSA-CRS)

PhilSys encourages the public to report establishments that refused to accept or honor the printed ePhilID as a valid proof of identity and age at the following official PhilSys channels:
