In addition, the INTENSE program also aims to integrate resources from the government, industry, and universities, which in turn, shall expand the recruitment of international students.
For those who want to grab this rare opportunity, applicants may choose their fields of study for the INTENSE program centered on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Finance, and Semiconductor-related fields.
As per the announcement, the list of countries eligible for enrollment in the INTENSE program include the Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

During their first year of study, scholars will enjoy full scholarship privilege while on their second year of study, top 70% of students will be qualified for full scholarship.
The good catch here is that companies will provide each student with a living allowance of US$300 (PhP 17,364) per month.
Their internship will also be paid by the companies and they will have the opportunity to work in Taiwan after they graduated.
The degree then will be awarded after conducting two years of the study.
Note that there are different program types that scholars may select from including bachelor's degree, two-year master's degree, two-year college degree, and two-year post-bachelor's degree.
Upon the scholarship condition, graduates are mandated to fulfill a two-year stay obligation in Taiwan.
Moreover, they may also be asked by the company to go back to their home country or another country to fulfill the employment obligation.
Upon graduation, those students who will fail to fulfill the employment obligation are required to reimburse all subsidies and allowances received from both the government and the company.
Based on the duration of receiving the corporate living allowance, students must be able to fulfill the obligation to work in Taiwan, with priority employment rights given to the companies providing the living allowance.
Just in case the students decided to reside permanently in Taiwan, the government will extend their hands in expediting their permanent residency application.
