The Philippine Coast Guard or the PCG is hiring – for this year, they'll be recruiting about 5,500 officers for the enlistment personnel and for the commisionship personnel.
This news was according to Admiral George V. Ursabia Jr., PCG Commandant and was mentioned at the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management 9PSALM) contract of lease signing ceremony.

Salary of Commissioned Officer and Enlisted Personnel
Knowing that the PCG is hiring is not enough news. In fact, you must also be wary of how much you can get if you get into this position.
As per the agency, an enlisted personnel's entry-level monthly salary rakes at a P37,000.00. Meanwhile, an Ensign-leveled commissioned officer's monthly salary sits at about P51,000.00.

PCG is Hiring: Qualifications for PCG Officer
The qualifications to become a PCG officer are:
- Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen
- Should have good moral character
- Must be single
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old, but not older than twenty-four (24) years old at the time of examination
- Should be at least 5'0" (male and female)
- Should be a Baccalaureate degree-holder
- Must have a Professional Civil Service Eligibility (CSE) with an 82% rating at least or with a PRC license
- Must have passed the PCG Aptitude Battery Test Commissionship
- Should be physically, mentally, and psychologically qualified for the Coast Guard Service

PCG is Hiring: Qualifications for PCG Non-Officer
- Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen
- Should have good moral character
- Must be single
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old, but not older than twenty-four (24) years old at the time of examination
- Should be at least 5'0" (male and female)
- Should at least be a Senior High School graduate provided that he or she has accomplished TESDA courses or about six (6) months or longer
- College graduate that has earned at least 72 units in just one (1) course as seen in the Transcript of Records or the ToR
- Should have passed the PCG Aptitude Battery Test Commissionship
- Must be physically, mentally, psychologically, and emotionally qualified under the Coast Guard Service regulation
- Proof of TESDA course-completion relevant to the mandates of the PCG

- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
- Electrical Installation and Maintenance

Documentary Requirements to Answer the Call That the PCG is Hiring
The following is the list of the preliminary or the initial requirements should you want to duly accomplish the PCG Aptitude Battery Test:
- Senior High School Diploma and TESDA Certificate (Enlistment)
- Duly-Accomplished PCGABT Application Form
- Transcript of Records (ToR) or List of Grades (School-Authenticated)
- Certified True Copy of the PSA-Certified Birth Certificate
- College Diploma (Commissionship and Enlistment)
NOTE: The true copies of the documents listed here would be needed for verification purposes during the time of application submission.

Furthermore, refrain from presenting incomplete documentation to avoid delays on the application procedure.
The PCG is Hiring: How Can You Apply?
Application is easy! All you have to do is to submit the documents required to the nearest PCG office from your location!
No information on whether or not it can be sent via courier has been released. Nevertheless, if you live from a nearby office, you can submit it!

NOTE: On the date of the examination, make sure that you wear a white plain polo shirt for commissionship and/or a white plain round-neck shirt for the enlistment. Along with it must be rubber shoes, jeans, and a proper haircut.
The PCG is hiring and they're looking for over 5,500+ recruits. Out of this, 4,000 would be deployed to other PCG offices, the ones remaining will be assigned to the Bureau of Customs or the BoC.
