The Social Security System (SSS) made a promise that the digitization of efforts shall be pushed through to aid all SSS members. Since last year, the agency has been looking towards this path; with a lot of members behind it.
Just yesterday, on the Official Facebook Page of the SSS, they released an advisory saying that the SSS digitization efforts are continuing. They’re not, in any way, being discontinued; and they’re just caught up in helping the countrymen and all members with their needs.
In their Facebook advisory, they said that everything will be easier for SSS members; it’s going to be easier if they transact online.
SSS Digitization Efforts
According to the SSS Advisory, the digitization efforts made by the agency is going to be pushed for many functionalities. Moreover, they said:
In Translation: The application for the Unemployment Benefit (UB) Claim, the Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP), and the Salary Loan should be made ONLINE through the use of the My.SSS account in the SSS website.
Other than the benefits given and said above, the following are also some of the benefits that could be accomplished online:
- Sickness Benefit Reimbursement Application
- Sickness Notification
- Retirement Benefit Application
- Maternity Notification
The SSS also said that they’re giving all their members the advice to enroll their disbursement account so they can directly pay the SSS for the loans and the benefits. For you to have an idea on how it’s done, you can click on this guide here.
Through the SSS digitization efforts, what do you think are the effects of this digitization? Can this be the change we’re rooting for under this pandemic that we are currently experiencing?
