Heads up aspiring lawyers! To attend law school, students will need sharp minds, but if you want to pursue it without worrying abour your finances, then, you are lucky, because the online application for the UMak School of Law Scholarship Program is now open for academic year 2023-2024.

The University of Makati (UMak) is a publicly funded institution run by Makati’s local government. In order to shape Makati and non-Makati youth into productive citizens and IT-capable professionals who are exposed to cutting-edge technology in their fields of expertise, it is envisioned as the main instrument where university education and industrial training programs interface. The third stage of Makati City’s primary level to tertiary level integrated educational system, UMak, enables the city’s less advantaged residents to compete for jobs in a variety of enterprises and industries.

UMak School of Law (SOL) is the first and only law school that provides free legal education to an entire batch. The exam schedule will be given to those who have submitted the complete requirements. Apply now and be one of their scholars!

What are the benefits under the scholarship?

If accepted, the scholar is entitled to the following priveleges:

  1. Free tuition and miscellaneous fees
  2. Php 10,000 monthly stipend
  3. Php 10,000 semestral break allowance

What are the necessary documentary requirements?

Interested applicants must prepare the required documents below:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) with attached 2×2 photo (specific for applying scholarship)
  2. Certified true copy of transcript of record
  3. Letter of intent addressed to: Dean Emeritus Jejomar C. Binay, thru Dean Jose M. Layug Jr.
  4. Handwritten essay “Why do I deserve to be a scholar of UMak SOL?”
