Heads up aspiring Filipinos who want to pursue their study in Hungary! The Commission on Higher Education invites all interested parties to submit nominations for the Stipendium Hungaricum (SH) Scholarship Program for Academic Year 2023– 2024 to be held in Hungary Under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hungary.
Stipendium Hungaricum, being the most prestigious higher education scholarship programme of the Hungarian Government, offers a wide range of courses for international students of excellent academic track record. The scholarship aims to support the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and its constant development, to strengthen the international relations of the academic and research community, and to promote the good reputation and competitiveness of the Hungarian higher education throughout the world.
Founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013, the programme is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation.
It is based on bilateral education agreements between Hungary and the governments of the sending countries, and is already available on five continents in almost 90 countries and territories, attracting more than 5000 international students each year. Applicants are offered more than 600 full degree programmes, covering all higher education fields at all degree levels, including part-time and doctoral programmes.
They can proudly state that more than 93 percent of our scholarship holders would choose Hungary again, which they see as an inspiration to further broaden the scope of the scholarship in the future.
When the graduates return to their home countries with marketable skills and knowledge, they can build civil, political and economic relationships, contributing to Hungary’s image and recognition abroad.
What are the scholarship benefits?
The scholarship will cover:
- Tuition Fees for the entire Study Period,
- Dormitory Accommodation assistance,
- Monthly Subsistence allowance and
- Medical Insurance.

Note: Please submit the letter of nomination signed by the duly authorized official together with the required documents on or before 23 January 2023 to the CHED International Affairs Service (IAS) through [email protected]. Candidates who meet the basic qualification requirements of the program will be informed by the IAS of the schedule and meeting credentials for the online panel interview.
