What programs will scholars take under the scholarship?
Scholars under the program must pursue any of the following research projects for their dissertation:
- The use of telehealth to support care services in populated regional and rural locations.
- Improved network coverage to support virtual care services to regional and rural populations.
- Evaluating the Treatment Box for maternal and newborn health in regional and rural locations in the Philippines.
- Impact of digital health innovations on staffing recruitment in remote locations.
What are the benefits under the scholarship?
The scholarship package shall be shouldered both by DOST-SEI and RMIT University which are as follow:
DOST-SEI COUNTERPART:
- Relocation allowance;
- Stipend/living allowance while in the Philippines;
- Insurance Coverage;
- Other research-related fees;
- One round-trip economy domestic airfare from residence to Manila;
- One return economy international airfare between Manila and Melbourne;
- Pre-travel expenses;
- Dissertation allowance.
RMIT UNIVERSITY COUNTERPART:
- Tuition fees;
- Stipends pro rata for maximum of 12 months, at annual rate, while in Melbourne;
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Visa length cover while scholar is in Melbourne.
What are the necessary documentary requirements?
Interested applicants must be able to prepare the following documents for submission:
- Accomplished application form

- Certified True Copy of the Official Transcript of Record;
- Endorsement from two former professors in the MS program;
- Medical Certificate;
- Valid NBI Clearance;
- Letter of Admission from the Graduate School which should include the Evaluation Sheet;
- Program of Study:
- Budgetary Requirements;
- Re-entry Plan.
If employed:
- Recommendation from Head of Agency;
- Permission to take a leave of absence (LOA) while on scholarship.
