In a previous post, we mentioned that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has job postings in different areas in the country. This time around, the DSWD is looking for Administrative and Social Welfare Officers in Region XII and in Quezon City.

What are Administrative and Social Welfare Officers?

Administrative Officers act as the primary point of contact of all employees; they also manage and support queries and concerns of employees in their department. Apart from that, Administrative Officers are also tasked to prepare regular reports, organize company/organizational records, and manage the office’s stocks.

Although it seems to be a tedious job, the compensation and the benefits of working with the DSWD would surely make up for it.

Social Welfare Officers, on the other hand, are primarily tasked to plan the delivery of the programs and social services of their unit. In addition to that, they are also responsible to conduct interviews, execute home visits, manage cases, counsel, and do jail visits only when necessary. 

Without further ado, here are the available job vacancies, for the Administrative and Social Welfare Officer posts, from the DSWD posted on September 19, 2019.

  • Administrative Officer III (Seven (7) positions) in Region XII
  • Administrative Officer IV (One (1) position) in Quezon City; and
  • Social Welfare Officer II (Seven (7) positions) in Region XII

Administrative Officer III

  • Position Title: Administrative Officer III
  • Employment Status: Contract of Service
  • Duration of Service: Three (3) months [From October until December]
  • Salary Grade: 18
  • Monthly Salary: P40, 385.00

CSC Prescribed Qualification Standards:

  • Education: At least Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job
  • Training: Eight (8) hours of relevant training
  • Experience: At least two (2) years of experience with significance
  • Eligibility: Career Service Professional Second (2nd) Level Eligibility

Requirements:

  1. Application letter (Letter of Intent) addressed to the Regional Director with the details of the vacant position;
  2. Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with a duly accomplished CSC Form No. 212 Revised 2017 with Work Experience Sheet;
  3. Recent passport-sized ID photo (attached to the PDS)
  4. Updated Resume
  5. Photocopy of the Certificate of Training(s) and Seminars attended
  6. Photocopy of the Board Rating or CS Eligibility (if applicable)
  7. Transcript of Records (ToR photocopy)
  8. Copy of the duly signed IPCR or Summary of Ratings (for insiders); and
  9. Photocopy of the previous Certificate of Employment (CoE) (if any)

Primary tasks of Administrative Officers IV

  1. They facilitate procurement of goods and services;
  2. They’re responsible for the procurement of both goods and services according to R.A. 9184 and other procurement laws;
  3. Work in accordance with BAC/BAC Secretariat and HOPE;
  4. Prepare and conduct reports and communications relevant to procurement
  5. They attend pre-procurement activities, pre-bid conferences, and other activities related;
  6. They review RFQs, ITB, and NNB before posting to Philgeps;
  7. Prepare contracts, bidding documents, and other procurement activities;
  8. They recommend systems plus policies to enhance current guidelines on supply management and movement of goods, procurement, and on how to hasten procurement processes; and
  9. Other tasks that may be assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

  1. Application letter addressed to Atty. Tricia Clare A. Oco, Executive Director of the JJWC;
  2. Original and photocopy of the Civil Service Eligibility (CSC) or anything equivalent;
  3. A comprehensive resume with the Job Description;
  4. Two (2) 2×2 I.D. pictures;
  5. Copy of a duly signed Individual Performance Contract Rating (IPCR) or the Summary of Rating of Performance Contract Assessment for the latest rating period (if applicable); and
  6. Certificate/s of relevant seminars and training(s) attended

  • Eligibility: Republic Act (R.A.) 1080 (Registered Social Work)

Requirements:
