Good news for all incoming learners this year! The Department of Education (DepEd) announced that learners from Kindergarten, Grades 1,7, & 11 learners will have the chance of having an early registration from the 1st of February 2020 to the 6th of March 2020.

What is an Early Registration?
According to the agency, the opened desks for the early registration of DepEd is to make sure that all new entrants of school will duly be registered for the School Year (S.Y.) 2020-2021.
In addition to that, this early schedule may allow the DepEd to address, fix, and resolve issues that would come up during the registration procedure. Similar to regular registration, learners would be required to submit the following requirements:

Early registration of DepEd requirements
- School Improvement Plan (SIP) or the Child Mapping Tool
- The Basic Education Enrollment Form
- Incoming Kindergarten and Grade one (1) students would be required to submit the PSA-certified birth certificate
- If the child wouldn't be able to accomplish this via his or her parents, the following could be submitted:
- Local Civil Registrar (LCR) birth certificate
- Barangay or baptismal certificate

Now that you're aware of the documentary requirements that you need to submit, here's the schedule of when the early registration will take place.

Incoming Kindergarten Students
Must be at least five (5) years old on or before the 31st of August 2020.
Incoming Grade one (1) Students
- Must have completed Kindergarten
- Should be a Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) passer for the Kindergarten Level
- Must be at least six (6) years old on or before the 31st of August if the learner is a non-Kinder completer;
- Must also have undergone Kindergarten Catch-Up Program (KCEP)
- Assessed as Grade 1-ready as per the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Checklist
Incoming Grade seven (7) students
- Must be a completer of the 6th Grade
- Should be a PEPT passer for the 6th Grade
- Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency (ALS A&E) Elementary Passer

Incoming Grade eleven (11) students
- Must be a completer of the 10th Grade
- Should be a PEPT passer for the 10th Grade
- Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency (ALS A&E) Elementary Passer (on or before 2018)
