Need to transact with the Social Security System (SSS) but lack the time to do so during weekdays? The good news is that a few of its branches are open on Saturday.
SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Michael G. Regino announced on Friday, October 14 via Manila Bulletin report, that a total of 12 branches will be open on Saturdays until December 31 in malls in the National Capital Region (NCR) to accommodate transacting members who cannot do it during weekdays.
All SSS transactions are now accepted at these mall-based branches, with the exception of tellering services, which are located in Cubao, Malabon, Novaliches, Paso de Blas, Antipolo, Mandaluyong-Shaw, Marikina, Ortigas, Las Pias, Makati-Chino Roces, Paranaque, and Taguig.
These branches are accessible from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. with the exception of Ortigas and Novaliches, which are open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
According to Regino, SSS extended the hours of operation at a number of branches to serve members who need to transact with the agency even on the weekends.
“We understand that many SSS members cannot visit SSS offices during weekdays given their working schedule, so we decided to open our branches in shopping malls on Saturdays until the end of the year,” Regino said.

While this is going on, 43 SSS branches in the NCR will begin assisting members one hour earlier than usual which is at 7:00AM.
These branches are: Marikina, Batasan Hills, Congressional, Cubao, Deparo, Diliman, Eastwood, Fairview, Kalookan, Malabon, Navotas, Paso de Blas, San Francisco Del Monte, Valenzuela, Antipolo, Mandaluyong-Shaw.
As well as San Juan, Tanay, Binondo, Legarda, Marikina-Malanday, New Panaderos, Pasig-Mabini, Pasig-Pioneer, Pasig-Rosario, Manila, Pasay-Roxas, Pasay-Taft, Sta. Welcome, Mesa, Tondo, and Alabang-Muntinlupa.
Additionally, SSS branches in Alabang-Zapote, Bicutan Sun Valley, Las Pias, Makati-Chino Roces, Makati-Gil Puyat, Makati-Guadalupe, Makati-JP Rizal, Paraaque, Paraaque-Tambo, Taguig, and Taguig Gate 3 will open an hour earlier than the usual serving hours.
“These initiatives reflect our continuous commitment to serve our members and their beneficiaries better, especially during this Holiday season,” Regino said.
“We further encourage them to take advantage of this extended business hours, which is one way of showing our dedication to serve the growing number of transacting members and stakeholders,” he added.
