The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the combination of the National Statistics Office (NSO), the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), the Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES), and the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS).
The PSA is the body of the government tasked to be the central statistical regulatory board. Their main goal is the collection of data by conducting different censuses in the different Philippine economy sectors.

Sectors that the PSA compile, collect, analyze and publish are: agriculture, business, fisheries, housing, and population. From demographic, economic, social, and political affairs of the country.
Currently, the PSA is hiring as there are 325 vacancies and job posts they need to fill.
Are all of these vacancies directed towards the main PSA office?
According to their job post, 232 vacant positions are in Field Offices from different regions in the country. 93 vacant positions, however, are in the Central Office.

Are there requirements needed?
Just like any other post, there are certain required documentation that interested applicants need to present if they are interested in applying for any post.
- Photocopy of Transcript of Records (ToR)
- Application letter which states the specific position title with the salary grade (SG) and specific division/province.
- An application may apply for a maximum of two (2) positions.
- Photocopy of authenticated Eligibility
- Civil Service Commission (CSC)
- Republic Act (R.A.) 1080
- Career Executive Service Board (CESB)
- Philippine Regulation Commission
- Presidential Decree (P.D. 907)
- Two (2) original copies of duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with the recent I.D. photo taken within three (3) months before the application was submitted.
- Photocopy of Certificate/s of Training relevant to the position an applicant has applied for
- Certified True Copy of the Individual Performance Commitment Review (IPCR) or any equivalent for the latest rating period.
- Affidavit of Informed Consent, Waiver and Undertaking of Compliance to the Minimum Qualification Standards and Requirements.
Note: For applicants who are applying for SG 24: They might be asked to have certification from authorized personnel indicating that they're performing supervisory functions with the specific period and the number of their inferiors/subordinates.

How do I apply for any of the 325 vacancies?
Applicants have two (2) options as to how they can apply for any of the 325 vacancies: through personal application or through courier.
All applications should be directed and addressed to National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Undersecretary, Dr. Dennis S. Mapa.

- Do note that Electronic Applications will neither be entertained nor accepted.
- Courier-made applications must be sent within three (3) calendar days from sending thereof, the return slip or tracking number at [email protected].
- Application letters that DO NOT state salary grades and specific places of assignment will be rejected automatically.
- If two (2) vacancies are being applied for, one (1) set of application documents per position must be submitted.
- The PSA has all the right to either suspend and/or terminate the hiring procedure for any reason. Also, they can disqualify any applicant for requirement-compliance failure.
- Original copies of the documents and attachments in the application letter to the Secretariat before the interview must be presented. Should an applicant fail to present any of these documents, the applicant will automatically be disqualified.
- Lastly, applications with incomplete required documents including required information or data will not be accepted.

The PSA respects the Next-In-Rank principle in the Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA) subject to standards of qualification and position requirements.
Failure to submit the application and/or the PSA Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (PSA-HRMPSB) by any PSA employee next in rank is automatically a waiver of privilege.

When is the deadline of the application?
Submission of documents and the application after the deadline on August 21, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. will not be accepted and entertained.

Do note that the PSA regularly updates their list on job vacancies; now, the 325 vacancies that they currently have just reflects their need on people to man the posts to maintain quality and orderliness in their operations.
So if you are interested, just scan on the requirements and procedure and answer the PSA's call about them looking for 325 vacancies in both Regional Field Offices and in the PSA Central Office.
