Many Filipinos dream of working as a tourism specialist—to work for an airlines company or in an airplane. Since this is the case, many people take on the tourism side to be able to work in the tourism industry. Good news because K12 Pinoy graduates are qualified to be a part of the cabin crew or the flight attendant field.
The Become a Flight Attendant Philippines Facebook page made a Facebook post about people who can apply as a flight attendant or as a cabin crew member this year.

In that same Facebook post, they expressed the fact that K12 Pinoy graduates are eligible to apply for these posts. In a previous post, we mentioned that high school graduates are eligible to apply; now, as per the Facebook page, K12 Pinoy graduates can apply too.
What requirements would different airlines be asking from aspiring cabin crew members or flight attendants?
Based on the Facebook post by Become a Flight Attendant Philippines, educational attainment of those who wish to apply should be at least two (2) years in college OR if the applicant was able to finish High School (HS) or the K to 12 program.

Which airlines accept Filipino applicants that passed the K to 12 program?
The airlines that accept K12 Pinoy graduates are:
- Oman Air
- Saudi Gulf Airlines
- Air Asia Philippines
- Qatar Airways
- Saudi Airlines

What about Philippine Airlines? Don’t they accept K12 pinoy graduates?
Philippine Airlines is one of the airlines in the country who accept four (4) year graduates. It’s unsure why they have that requirement but that’s what we know.
Cebu Pacific, on the other hand, accepts applicants who were able to finish at least a two (2) year course. So, it’s safe to say that they’ll also accept students or applicants who were able to finish at least two (2) years in college.
How much would the salary be?
The compensation of these flight attendants and cabin crew is ranging from P18, 000 to P26, 000 as an entry level salary. In addition to that, they said that it can go up to the P36, 000 to P54, 000 range depending on the training, the work experience, and of course the performance of the said employee; this was as per the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Beware of scams and fraudsters!
Especially if you’re just a new graduate, there are a lot of fake agencies who pose as different airlines representatives. So, in order for you to be sure, double check the website of the different airlines and cross check whether or not they allow other people who hire and select people to be cabin crew member or a flight attendant.
So, be extra cautious in dealing with other people especially if you are looking for a career. Check the websites, talk to people, phone their company if you are looking for a job in the tourism industry.
If you dream of working in the airlines industry, make sure that you are eligible for whatever their requirements are. Also, different requirements like weight and height are not disregarded—in fact, it’s what most airlines actually make a big deal of. Now that they are accepting K12 pinoy graduates, be mindful of whatever they need.
