National Academy of Sports Scholarship Program SY 2022-2023

Calling the attention of parents who have incoming Grade 7 and 8 student-athletes children inclined into sports! This might be their chance to follow the footstep of Olympic Gold medalist Hidelyn Diaz! The National Academy of Sports (NAS) whose main campus is located at the New Clark City Sports Complex in Tarlac is offering a scholarship for them until June 30,2022. Apply them now and  help the country perform better and at higher level during regional or worldwide sporting events!

Who can apply for the scholarship?

National Academy of Sports (NAS) is inviting Grade 7 and 8 students who are academically competent and athletically talented natural born Filipino to study at their academy. Students who are into the corresponding Olympic Sports may apply.

1. Aquatics (Swimming)
2. Badminton
3. Gymnastics
4. Judo
5. Table Tennis
6. Weightlifting

INCOMING GRADE 7:

1. be a natural-born Filipino citizen
2. be currently enrolled as a Grade 6 pupil or a graduate of elementary school at the time of application. For those who are not currently enrolled, evidence of equivalency is required
3. must have a general weighted average of at least 80%
4. show evidence of potential in their particular sport
5. not be older than 14 years old at the start of the school year
6. show evidence of being in good health and physical fitness to undergo a rigorous athletic program
7. must be under the specified NAS focus sports- aquatics, athletics, badminton, gymnastics, judo, table tennis, taekwondo and weightlifting

INCOMING GRADE 8:

1. be a natural-born Filipino citizen
2. be currently enrolled as a Grade 7 pupil at the time of application. For those who are not currently enrolled, evidence of equivalency is required
3. must have a general weighted average of at least 80%
4. show evidence of potential in their particular sport
5. not be older than 15 years old at the start of the school year
6. show evidence of being in good health and physical fitness to undergo a rigorous athletic program
7. must be under the specified NAS focus sports- aquatics, athletics, badminton, gymnastics, judo, table tennis, taekwondo and weightlifting

What are the benefits under the scholarship?

As part of the scholarship program, student-athletes are entitled of the following privileges:

1. Free tuition.
2. Free board and lodging at the NAS dormitory.
3.  Provision of quality secondary education.
4. Access to specialized sports training in world-class facilities.
5. Monthly Stipend.
6. Opportunity to represent the country and the academy in international competitions and exchange programs.
